Summary:
I started a news agency at 15. By 19, I was the youngest elected official in the parish.
What drives someone to launch their career before they can vote?
For me, it was simple: I saw my community needed a voice, so I created one.
That same instinct, “spot the gap, build the solution” has defined everything since. Today, I’m on the Board of Directors for University View Academy, a pioneer in online K-12 education across Louisiana, and I’m an Emmy Award-Winning Animator and Storyteller.
But I got here by doing the work: reporting local news, drafting local legislation,
managing budgets, renovating properties, teaching homeschool students, and yes,
driving for Uber.
I’m working on a Master’s in History at Southeastern Louisiana University while leading committees, serving on a nonprofit board, and handling everything from history papers to governmental compliance. Some call it an unconventional path. I call it versatility.
The through-line? I don’t wait for permission. I build platforms when information needs sharing. I write policy when communities need protection. I show up early and stay late because the work matters. I don’t just fill roles. I redefine them.
